The wedding of Bằng and Tâm unfolded under the lush embrace of nature, as vibrant and thriving as their love story. After four years of sharing laughter, challenges, and memories together, they were able to celebrate this beautiful milestone with a wedding surrounded by family and close friends.

The Venue

Bằng and Tâm’s love story took them across continents, from meeting in Australia to traveling together in different parts of the world. Their love story continued with a proposal in Japan, and after much thought, they decided that Vietnam would be the perfect place to host their wedding. The bride envisioned a celebration set in nature, with greenery, rivers, and the serenity of the outdoors, but still close enough to home for their family members to easily attend.

After much consideration, we chose An Lam Retreats Sai Gon River as the venue, as it perfectly embodied the combination of nature, tranquility, and intimacy they were looking for.

The couple didn’t have specific demands for decorations, preferring a simpler, more refined approach that felt true to their personalities. Therefore, we focused on ensuring every detail complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings. The decor was designed to be subtle yet sophisticated, with carefully chosen colors and shapes that brought harmony to the space. We integrated the natural environment into the design, with floral arrangements and greenery that blended seamlessly with the outdoor setting. The table settings, with alternating colors of tablecloths, created a sense of rhythm and balance, while maintaining a chic and understated atmosphere.

Taking inspiration from the beloved animated movie Tangled, our team brought in an element by incorporating lanterns into the wedding décor. The lanterns, symbolizing light and hope, were suspended from the ceiling, scattered throughout the garden, and even floated gently on the surface of the water, casting a warm and magical glow.

Wedding Activities

The couple shares a deep love for traveling, having explored different corners of the world together over the years. This passion for adventure was something we knew we had to incorporate into their wedding celebration. The seating chart, table numbers, and menu design were all tailored to reflect a travel theme.

One of the most heartwarming and memorable moments of the wedding was the lantern release activity. Guests were invited to write personal messages and well-wishes for the couple on lanterns, which were then sent afloat on the water. For Bằng and Tâm, the lantern release was deeply meaningful. The couple wrote their own personal notes to each other, reflecting on their love, their hopes for the future, and the journey they were about to embark on together as husband and wife. They then released their lanterns into the water, watching them float away, symbolizing the hopes and dreams they carried with them into their married life.

A FILM OF LOVE

In addition to traditional photography, we decided to incorporate film photography into the celebration. Film captures moments in their purest form—unfiltered, unscripted, and raw. Unlike digital photos, film photography is one-take only and cannot be altered, which makes it an incredibly special and authentic way to preserve the memories of such a significant day. The decision to include film photography allowed us to document the wedding day in a way that felt deeply personal and meaningful to Bằng and Tâm.
